Withdrawal

  • > If a child is to be withdrawn from school, parents are requested to give one calendar month’s notice in writing, failing which, one month’s fee will be charged in lieu thereof. Exceptions may be made in case of sudden transfer of government or military personnel.
  • > Those who leave the school in May must pay the fee for the month of June.
  • > Transfer certificates for children withdrawn are not issued until all dues are settled.
  • > Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:
    •    > Disciplinary grounds.
    •    > Unsatisfactory progress in work.
    •    > Detention or repeated detention in a class.
  • > A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.

Attendance

  • > It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to sit for the examination. In case attendance is short, students will not be eligible for promotion or any academic award.
  • > Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls.
  • > All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate within 3 days of absence through a representative or the School website.
  • > A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor.
    • > Students suffering from any one of the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.

 

    •    > Chicken Pox – Till the complete falling of scabs.
    •    > Cholera – Till the child is completely well.
    •    > Measles – Two weeks after the rash disappears.
    •    > Mumps – Until the swelling has gone.
    •    > Whooping Cough – Six weeks.
    •    > Jaundice – Six weeks.
  • > Only those students will be put on duty who represent the school while playing a tournament, a sport or participate in any other event. Any student, not representing the school, will have no such claim.
    • > Each student must carry their almanac and identity card to school every day.

 

    • > Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone to school. If they do so, it will be confiscated.

 

    • > Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently. Students should not unnecessarily leave their class at the end of every period.

 

    • > Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home. Use of hair gel is not allowed. Wearing low waist trousers is forbidden.

 

    • > All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with a band.

 

    • > Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys must wear turbans in Class IX and above. A patka may be worn only while playing games.

 

    • > No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or paper should be brought to the school.

 

    • > Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not allowed.

 

    • > Students who come to school escorted should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.

 

    • > Parents and guardians may meet the teachers during the specified time.

 

    • > The school does not permit the celebration of birthdays or festivals on the school campus. Parents are advised not to send sweets etc. with children for celebration of birthdays. Exchange of gifts is not allowed. Parents are requested to send Birthday tree with their ward.

 

    • > The school insists on the following measures to be observed by the members of staff and all students. Care must be taken to observe the “green rules” in order to maintain clean, green surroundings. That is, school premises will not be littered with disposable tumblers, papers or polythene bags. Polythene bags will not be appreciated.

 

    • > Students are expected to respect school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Vice-Principal or the Principal.

 

    • > Scholars students should invariably be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.

 

    • > Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments or any kind of object that can cause injury to others.

 

    • > Students are advised to keep their classrooms, school buildings, and campus as clean as possible.

 

    • > The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens) to school.

 

    • > Scholars Academy provides education from Nursery to Class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors.

 

    • > Fees can be paid by online/cheque/cash within the stipulated time.

 

    • > Students using unfair means during examination will face disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities.
